where wonder happens

It’s never too late to learn something new. Whether you are looking for formal instruction, or a chance to get involved, our reservations are places where you can pursue your passion, whether it’s gardening, Colonial history, art and architecture, farming, or saving the meadow at the end of your street.

The events calendar of the website lists hundreds of programs each year for you to enjoy. In addition, there are endless opportunities to volunteer your time and talent. We’re excited to help you learn more about the world around you.

Seed, Sow, & Grow
Learn innovative gardening techniques and concepts from the experts at Trustees, special instructors, and your fellow gardeners. Learn how to start your own seeds, get tips for growing veggies in containers, figure out the best crops to grow in your plot, and so much more.

Master Urban Gardeners
Deepen your gardening know-how and give back to your neighborhood at the same time! Become a Master Urban Gardener (MUG)! This eight-week program will equip you with horticultural tools and training as you boost your gardening knowledge, meet fellow community gardens, and volunteer at your local garden. Dig into soil science, community garden design and management, botany, vegetable gardening, nutrition, and more.

Trustees Cooks
From fine-tuning your pasta-making skills to learning the basics of Szechuan cuisine, to opening your children's eyes to the joys of cooking when school isn't in session, Trustees' teaching kitchens offer culinary instruction suited to every taste—and any time of day.
