Trail Construction and Maintenance Volunteer

Responsibilities:
Here’s a great way for you to get outside and give back at the same time. As a Trail Volunteer, you’ll assist staff with routine trail maintenance tasks like drainage structure cleaning and reinforcement, removing debris from trail surfaces, and cutting vegetation in and near the trail. You’ll participate in work days to place wood chips and/or gravel on trails and climbing areas. You can also help with construction of new trails and repairs and improvements to existing trails.
Qualifications:
Must be able to perform vigorous work outside, have basic knowledge of trail design principals, and ability to use hand tools.
  • Bilingual speakers (English/Spanish) are preferred, not required.
  • Transportation to begin work in Monson required. 
  • Must be comfortable taking on a project and working on it independently.
