Responsibilities:
Combine your love of the outdoors with volunteering! Property Steward will walk the trails of Dinosaur Footprints regularly, talking with visitors and keeping a log of the number of people you meet. You’ll also keep the bulletin board up-to-date and filled with brochures. In addition, you are responsible for removing trash, small branches, and other debris that fall on the trails, and reporting larger concerns to the Windsor Unit staff. The Property Stewards report to the staff on a regular basis (at least monthly). You may also be asked to attend meetings in Holyoke or assist with special programs on an infrequent basis.
Preferred Skills &
Abilities:
Must enjoy walking on the property. You should have knowledge of the ecology and geology of the Connecticut River Valley and be willing to share it with visitors. Be conservation-minded and willing to help maintain the property.
Time Commitment:
1 hour each week, 2-4 weeks per month, year-round or seasonally
