Overview:

We are currently seeking an administrative volunteer in the Holyoke area who is enthusiastic about furthering the cause of community-focused land conservation. This position will be guided by, and report to, the Holyoke Superintendent. We are looking for someone who is creative, reliable, and passionate about Holyoke’s natural resources and open spaces.

Responsibilities:
    Assist with:
  • Submitting accounts payable vouchers
  • Tracking project and volunteer hours
  • Filing and organizing
  • Outreach for events
    May include: writing press releases, supply coordination, emailing invitations, writing follow-up stories, organizing press packets, etc
  • Other general office duties in accordance with applicant’s skill, experience, and interests

Location:
Based at our Holyoke office with some work from home options

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be dependable, responsible, responsive, and detail oriented
  • Able to use computers including: internet searches, Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Have a personal computer with a reliable internet connection at home
  • Excellent communication skills, especially writing and editing
  • Transportation to Holyoke

Desired:

  • Conversational Spanish
  • Willing and able to bring a personal laptop computer to the office to complete administrative duties


Physical Demands:
  • Sitting and typing on the computer
  • Walking to a second-floor office with no elevator
Training & Support:
    Staff will provide:
  • Instruction in all aspects of the job
  • Training in Trustees procedures
  • An inside look into the inner workings of The Trustees
  • Work space in our office

Time Commitment:
