Long Hill Flower Fields Pick-Your-Own Volunteer
Location:	Long Hill
Overview:	The Trustees of Reservations is looking for volunteers to run the Long Hill Flower Fields pick-your-own program from July 15 – September 30, 2011.
Responsibilities:	Greet and welcome pick-your-own customers and visitors Explain the procedures of pick-your-own, take payment and provide change Assist families and children with the flower picking as necessary Educate public about organic gardening practices used in the fields
Qualifications:	Ability to work independently Ability to use hand tools and pruners safely Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the public
Physical Demands:	Light lifting (under 30 lbs) Ability to work in light rain or hot sun
Training & Support:	Garden Educator will provide necessary training and support for volunteers to feel comfortable running the pick-your-own flower program
Learning Opportunities & Other Benefits:	FREE FLOWERS! Share experiences with fellow volunteer gardeners The chance to ask our staff all of your gardening questions!
Time Commitment:	The pick-your-own hours are Thursdays 3 – 5PM, Fridays 12Noon – 5PM, and Saturdays 12Noon – 5PM. Pick-your-own volunteers will commit to one shift per week for a minimum of three weeks during the summer season, July 15 – September 30, 2011.
