| Responsibilities: |
Weir River Farm now has a market garden. As a volunteer assistant, you'll prepare fields for planting, plant seeds and transplants, monitor irrigation, weed, cultivate, harvest, assist customers during “pick your own” hours, prepare produce and flowers for weekly Farmer’s Market, assist with special projects. Community Service We would love to have you join us if you need to fulfill a Community Service commitment. |
| Preferred Skills & Abilities: |
Work independently and in small groups, use hand tools, lift boxes of produce. An interest in organic methods and a passion for local food issues is helpful but not necessary. |
| Time Commitment: |
Through – November | 8AM – Noon, 5 – 7PM, or by special arrangement. |
