| Responsibilities: |
The Charles River Valley is looking for an individual with a background in carpentry interested undertaking building projects for the local properties. Interested individuals should have a basic knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures. The majority of this work will be carried out and completed individually but there will be several opportunities to assist on larger projects with Trustees staff. Opportunity available at Powisset Farm in Dover (traveling to nearby properties may be necessary) |
| Qualifications: |
Ability to work with tools, lumber, and materials. Interested individuals will have an ability to organize assigned tasks, for completion alone or with help. Knowledge of power tools and hand tools along with an understanding of how to safely use each tool is necessary. Individuals should have some experience and ability in reading as well as drawing plans. Knowledge of building structures including but not limited to ceilings, windows, frames, roofs, as well as independent structures (chicken coops) is necessary. |

| Time Commitment: |
Minimum of 10 to 12 hours per month with a 6 month commitment. Volunteer will spend majority of time working independently allowing for a flexible schedule. |
