Public Relations Intern

Location:
Moose Hill Farm
Responsibilities:

Help The Trustees of Reservations get the word out about their special places and programs to support conservation, recreation, education, volunteer, and membership outreach efforts statewide.

Responsibilities

  • Research and update media contact information for Trustees press database, including newspapers, broadcast and web-based outlets.
  • Collect editorial calendars from target media outlets to help with proactive pitch planning
  • Research press clips and create media equivalencies to help track and translate the “advertising equivalent value” of press stories and placements
  • Help draft, distribute, and follow-up on press releases on various topics as they relate to The Trustees.
  • Work on special projects related to your particular interests and abilities.

Location: Work from home and occasionally with PR Manager at her home office in Dedham or at Trustees office at Moose Hill Farm in Sharon.

Abilities:
  • Creative thinker with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to write clearly and accurately
  • Courteous and professional telephone skills 
  • General computer skills  
  • Interest in public relations and marketing a plus
Time Commitment:
Flexible hours, depending upon job responsibilities. Fall/Winter term, Spring term, Summer position.
