2012 SummerQuest at The Crane Estate

2012 SummerQuest

"What better place than The Crane Estate to bring out our kids' adventurous spirits and lay down some lasting impressions of what it means to be happy? Every day the kids spend with you is like gold to them." – Heidi Goodwin, Camper Mother

Registration is now open!

Every summer our campers embark on a quest to understand the world around them. Campers and staff alike are encouraged to think of themselves as characters in an unfolding drama. We think this approach makes sense. Each session becomes more meaningful, more powerful and more memorable when everyone shares the same story. And while quests are ultimately about having fun, our dedication to place-based, experiential learning is there, too, hiding in plain sight.

If you’re new to the Crane Estate, let us describe it for you. It’s a nationally known, 2,000-acre country estate. The setting includes an iconic mansion perched atop a hill overlooking the sea; a sprawling farm complex bounded by old hay meadows and abandoned orchards; rolling lawns and well-kept gardens; miles of white sand beaches and wind-sculpted dunes; and several uninhabited islands bordered by hundreds of acres of salt marsh. It makes a grand summer stage.

At SummerQuest, every child is a valued member of the camp community. And no matter what quest you choose, we have a program for you – informed by an educated understanding of how different children at different developmental stages learn best.

Our staff is comprised of top-notch, experienced educators who are compassionate role models and natural mentors. Our program has the power to shape young lives in profound ways. So join us this summer! The quest is just beginning...
