Summer in the Valley Photo Contest 2011 Winners

The results are in from The Trustees’ 5th Annual Summer in the Valley Photo Contest! Congralutions to Tori Stuart for her grand-prize winning shot from Powisset Farm in Dover.

Here’s how it all worked: From June 22 – September 22, Trustees members and nonmembers visited our reservations in the Charles River Valley, then submitted their best photos in six categories. Congratulations to all of our winners. You can view slide shows of our winners in each age group by clicking on the links to the right.

The winners are:

Grand Prize: Tori Stuart

The end of the contest does not signify the end of the fun!

We would like to share the wonderful pictures we received with everyone. In addition to posting the winning photos on the Trustees' website there will be a traveling gallery of winning photographs. During the month of October the Medfield Library will host the gallery of winning photos. The gallery will then move to the Dover Library for the month of November and finally to the Sherborn Library during the month of December. We would like to encourage the community to come out and see all these outstanding photographs.

Many thanks to REI in Framingham for donating gifts for winning photographers and the Dover, Medfield, and Sherborn Public Libraries for providing gallery space.

This year we created a calendar of winning photos. To order your calendar, email charlesrivervalley@ttor.org. Calendars are $15 and can be picked up at Powisset Farm in December.
