The animals don their thick winter coats to stay warm outside all winter, don your winter coat, too, and join them in the barnyard for our winter preschool farm explorers series, Wednesday mornings in January. What do farmers need to do differently in the winter to make sure all the animals around the farm stay happy and healthy? How do wild animals behave in the winter? Little farmers will get a chance to learn the answers to these questions and to meet our barnyard chickens, goats, sheep, and ponies. Through exploration, hands-on activities, stories, and more Weir River Farm welcomes preschool-aged children to experience life on the farm in winter.
This series is best suited for children 2 years 9 months to 4 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult, this is not a drop off program. This series runs for one hour, once a week, on Wednesdays in January
