Knit historical accessories from patterns featured in the 19th century! Join the Bryant Homestead's Engagement Manager, Andrea Caluori, for a fun knitting circle & tea in the parlor (or veranda, weather permitting!) Each participant will receive a knitting kit consisting of a 19th century pattern, its modern equivalent, and yarn similar to what was produced in the 1800's. Simple patterns will be chosen and modified for the modern knitter. All levels of knitters are welcomed - all participants should know how to cast on, cast off, knit and purl. Tea and cookies will be served. Registration required 1 week before workshop. Knitters will be notified of what needle size to bring.
