What better way to end the work day than with an exciting hike at one of the North Shore's most special places?
Part of our After Work Hike series, this walk begins and ends on Crane Beach with a lovely hike through the dunes of Castle Neck in between. Named "the golden hour" by photographers, you'll be on the beach during that special time—just before sunset—when the shadows are long and the light is at its most beautiful. Perfect for taking pictures, so be sure to bring your camera! We'll make our photo opp even more special by concluding the hike with a bonfire on the beach, complete with marshmallows for roasting.
Please Note: This hike will be approximately two miles, but walking in the sand—especially when in the dunes—is more strenuous than you'd expect so it will feel like more. As such, we suggest you bring water and dress for the weather to maximize comfort. This hike is recommended for ages 8+
Weather cancellation policy: All trips will take place rain or shine with the following exceptions: If there is a high confidence that thunder and lightning will be present, we may cancel a trip up to one hour in advance. If the forecast is for steady and heavy rain all day, we may decide to cancel by 3pm on the day before the event. If either of these happens, all registrants will be notified by email and/or phone with as much notice as possible and issued full refunds.
The starting location and other relevant details for all hikes, kayak paddles, and river boat trips will be emailed to registrants before the event at the address provided upon registration. If you prefer to have this information over the phone, please call us using the contact information provided at the right.
