Winter is a delightful season to experience Ward Reservation. Enjoy a day of winter fun complete with guided hikes, hot chocolate and refreshments, and a toasty warming fire. Bring your gear and have fun cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and sledding all afternoon!
This event will take place with or without snow on the ground.
Short to medium length guided hikes to different destinations on the reservation will leave periodically throughout the afternoon. Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, refreshments and a warming fire will be available throughout the afternoon. A great chance to try out those cross-country skis, snowshoes, or sled you got for the holidays!
12:30PM – Guided hike to Boston Hill, 3 miles, 1 ½ hours.
1PM – Guided hike around Holt Hill & the bog, 1 mile, ½ hour.
2PM – Guided hike around Holt Hill & the bog, 1 mile, ½ hour.
Parking at the reservation entrance on Prospect Road, east of Route 125, in Andover. Follow signs to the activities.
