Intro to Birding

Looking for more cool stuff to do?
We've got tons more fun events and programs in your area – sign up for our monthly enews here!

Purple Finch, Pileated Woodpecker, Carolina Wren, Broad-Winged Hawk, Catbird, just some of the hundreds of birds that come to Massachusetts every year. Finding them all is like a giant game of hide and seek. Every walk in nature is an opportunity to find something you have never seen before! It brings a whole new energy and excitement to the outdoors.

This introductory workshop will get you started on the basics of how to use your binoculars, where certain birds can be located, and how to identify birds you found. The instructor will be teaching you how to locate and identify birds on your own. This workshop is recommended for beginner birders. Pre-registration is required. Bring your own binoculars if you have them!
