We’ll start this hike at the Barn on the Crane Estate, and wander the paths to the Pine Grove. On the way, we’ll use our skills of observation to see what kinds of birds are around in the winter – where are they hanging out, and what are they doing? What do they sound like? With the leaves gone from the trees, we may even see some abandoned bird nests – and we’ll take a peek to see who may have moved in! Once we get to the Pine Grove, we’ll collect pine cones to bring back to the Barn, where we’ll make unique bird feeders for you to hang up at home.
Please note: We will be hiking for approximately 1.5 miles. Suggested ages 4-10; children must be accompanied by an adult.
An email with details about where to meet, what to bring, etc., will be sent to all registered participants a few days before the event.
