Join Appleton Cooks! and chef Carolyn Grieco this winter for our winter culinary workshop series. With seasonal ingredients as our inspiration, these classes bring together the farm’s winter bounty and professional chef instruction to inspire, improve, and support your culinary endeavors at home.
This culinary workshop features our favorite soups and will also cover homemade bread making skills. We’ll cover culinary techniques & kitchen tips as we prepare seasonal recipes perfect for the long chilly winter season!
This is part of a 3-class series:
Soups: Jan, 6th
Chowders: Jan 24th
Stews: February 3rd
Hands-on cooking, chef instruction, printed recipe booklet, and a warming meal of fresh hearth-baked bread and steaming soup! You can expect to roll up your sleeves and learn as we cook together then enjoy a sumptuous shared meal at the end of the workshop. BYOB beer or wine is allowed.
Recipes from past classes have included:
Farm Beef Sausage, Fennel & Heirloom Bean Soup
Roasted Cauliflower, Cheddar & Ale Soup
Homemade Olive Oil Ciabatta
What people are saying about our winter workshops with Chef Carolyn: “So much fun and learning packed into an enjoyable evening. Carolyn was fantastic, the kitchen a joy to work in, and the farm setting so peaceful. I've already signed up for a few more! (M. Brown, Hamilton)”
