New England Music Award Winners, Los Sugar Kings are a Boston-Based Cuban Roots, Rock & Reggae Fusion quartet who write, record and perform across the North-East United States. They are known for their dynamic live performances, rich harmonies, intense musicianship and ability to transcend genres with an authenticity rarely heard. In their world, respect is paid to the forefathers and traditions of Afro-Cuban Son, Salsa and Rumba-Flamenca but Los Sugar Kings (named after a Cuban baseball team) also actively draw on influences from nearly every continent in their unique roots-rock-reggae fusion repertoire.
The Country Hits like to play classic country music from the 50s-80s, along with a few surprises. Electric guitar, piano and drums, this trio keeps it simple with tunes by Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Tammy Wynette, Webb Pierce, and many of the better known and deeper cuts from these eras. You want to hear Johnny Cash? OK, we'll play that, too.
Far From the Tree Cider will be serving up their delicious locally brewed hard cider. Far From The Tree’s cider bears no resemblance to large mass produced hard ciders. It is not super sweet, but rather dry and refreshing with light carbonation, and tastes deliciously of apples. That’s because the first ingredient in each of the company’s three current varieties is, in fact, pressed apples. Far From The Tree originally started with three varieties of its dry ciders: Roots, Rind and Sprig. Since opening their tasting room in August 2015 the cider makers have made dozens of new ciders. Enjoy!
