In the fall of 2018, Sony Pictures Little Women, directed by Greta Gerwig and starring, Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, with Timothee Chalamet as their neighbor Laurie, Laura Dern as Marmee, and Meryl Streep as Aunt March, filmed on location at many sites in Massachusetts including four Trustees properties: Fruitlands Museum, Eleanor Cabot Bradley Estate, Crane Estate, and the Old Manse.
Trustees Senior Curator, Christie Jackson, was on set each day of filming, ensuring the safety of our historic structures. Join Christie as she shares stories from the set from location scouting, to set prep, to 4am arrivals on filming days. Hear what considerations must be made while filming in preserved historic structures and fun anecdotes about seeing the stars in action.
