Hunyuan Natural State Qigong—Chinese Moving Yoga for Vitality and Harmony

With Robin J. Bonazzoli, Asian-trained Master Instructor of 30 Years

Hunyuan Natural State Qigong is a moving Chinese yoga for releasing stress while building and integrating the vitality of body, heart and consciousness, based on the ancient medical and spiritual philosophy of yin and yang. An ancient Chinese term for the natural state of being, “Hunyuan” represents the interconnectedness of all of life through spirit.

What is Qigong? Qigong is an energy refinement practice that connects us to the gravitational-spiritual force of the universe “Qi” to facilitate health and wellness. Move body-mind-spirit into the universal breath, light and biorhythm of the earth in relation to the sun, moon, and stars. Relax into your natural physical structure to result in a supple you with more: strength, agility, focus and emotional wellbeing. Open into joy, kindness, wisdom and love!

About the Class

  • Class begins with a sound recitation exercise “Om Har Reim” to open us into a relaxed vibrational feeling prior to the movement part of class.
  • This session’s “Hunyan” Natural State qigong focuses on refining, building and integrating the primary energy centers of the body to help us each to enter the harmony of our own true natures, and thus to merge with the greater “Hunyuan.”
  • Through flowing movement and intention, we will activate and develop the vitality of the 3 treasures: “jing” the force of earth—our physical energy and structure, “qi” the force of humanity and the animals—our heart/emotional energy, and “shen” the force of heaven--our subtle consciousness energy.
  • We will learn to access and open in movement the energy planes of the body’s eight directions known as the eight ancestral reservoirs to balance the body’s structure, organs, and tissues bringing emotional-mental awareness and harmony.
  • It is said that when the three treasures are strong and polished, and the eight directional reservoirs are resplendent, one’s spirit can shine clearly like sunlight through a perfect crystal.
