You may think gardening season is winding down, but if you employ some simple techniques to extend the season, the best is yet to come! You can keep eating fresh greens and roots through fall and early winter using hardy crop varieties, mulch, low tunnels and/or cold frames. Join us to learn some easy, affordable methods to extend the season.
Hardy seedlings, row cover, and hoops will be available for sale at the workshop.
Windermere Community Garden is the Trustees' newest community garden, located in the Jones Hill neighborhood of Dorchester. It features a terraced layout and native plant borders in addition to well-tended plots. The garden is a short walk from Columbia Road bus stops and some street parking is generally available nearby.
