All About Birds at Bird

Looking for more cool stuff to do?
We've got tons more fun events and programs in your area – sign up for our monthly enews here!

2018 is the year of the bird (according to the National Audubon Society), and Bird Park has lots of them! Although Bird Park is named after Francis William Bird, it's a wonderful coincidence that it's also a birding "hotspot" according to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology's eBird site (http://ebird.org/ebird/hotspots).

Let's celebrate our feathered friends by learning more about them! Observe birds at our Observation Area, visit our bird info stations (like "Where Birds Nest," What Birds Eat," and "How Birds Sound"), and try out different activities (like "Make Your Own Binoculars" and "Make Your Own Bird Feeder"). This program repeats every weekday (4/16-4/20), 2:00-4:00pm, during April vacation and leads up to our very special Eyes on Owls program on Earth Day, April 22, 2:00-3:00pm at the Music Court (stone stage). Meet at the grassy area next to the basketball courts (near the Gate Way entrance). This program is held outdoors and may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
