It’s the official first day of winter and the longest night of the year! That means we have winter fun to look forward to as well as progressively longer days. Let’s celebrate the joys of winter and the celestial movement away from darkness toward light! With a nod to the Scandinavian Feast of Yule, we’ll burn some “Yule logs” and gather around the fire to learn a little more about the winter solstice as we make s'mores, sip delicious hot chocolate, and listen to some sunny, light-themed songs by local guitarist Jimmy G. Meet by the Rhoades Avenue entrance to the park. The entrance is located at the back of the parking lot for Union Congregational Church (55 Rhoades Avenue).
