Visit the home of Concord’s Patriot Minister, Reverend William Emerson, chaplain to the Minutemen. This house witnessed the start of the American Revolution when the fight of April 19, 1775, took place in its backyard. Watching the fight at Old North Bridge from the back window of the house, the Emerson family heard the ‘the shot heard round the world.’ From their unique perspective, learn about the beginning of American independence.
