You have three opportunities to attend this event:
January 27, February 10, and February 24.

  • Fitness level 3Moderate 
    For active outdoor novices that are comfortable with regular exercise.
  •  
  • Skill level 2Intermediate
    This level is for those who've learned the basic skills and understand the fundamentals of the activity, and can reasonably reproduce critical skills. You have had some level of formal or informal instruction in the past along with your personal experience. More practice is necessary for mastery, but you are ready for more in depth instruction to make your next outdoor experience all the better.

Join REI on this Nordic Adventure to The Trustee's Notchview Reservation in scenic Windsor, MA. You'll meet your guides at REI Framingham, and after some introductions, you'll get a hot beverage for the ride out west to Notchview Reservation. With over 3,000 acres of scenic forest and open meadow, Notchview offers an idyllic escape for winter sports enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Enjoy your hot lunch (included) at the Budd Visitor Center, featuring a masonry heater with toasty soapstone seats and an inviting atmosphere. You'll hit the trails again in the afternoon before heading back to Framingham. Transportation, gear, lunch, and instruction all included!

  • Enjoy a day outside at Notchview
  • Hone your cross country skiing skills


Bring to class:

(Required)

  • At least 2 Liters of Water - Water bottles or hydration bladder.
  • Daypack - Large enough to carry water, food and layers.
  • Synthetic/Wool Layers - Clothing that retains warm when wet.
  • Warm Gloves
  • Warm Hat
  • Warm Jacket - Down or Synthetic.
  • Warm Socks - Wool or Synthetic.
