Bend and Bind: Tree Bark Basketmaking

Looking for more cool stuff to do?
We've got tons more fun events and programs in your area – sign up for our monthly enews here!

In this hands-on workshop, bend and stitch together a gorgeous bark basket with Jennifer Lee, an educator with Narraganseet and Pequot ancestry. You will learn traditional basket-crafting skills to create your own work of art. Each basket is unique, and will be made from a single piece of tree bark harvested in the Berkshires. Participants will complete their own basket in this one-day workshop. Wear clothes that can get wet, and bring a lunch for yourself. One basket/person, all materials included. Advance registration required by January 25. Appropriate for ages 14 and up.
