Trustees Member Discount
Members of The Trustees of Reservations receive a 10% discount off their room rate for all consecutive night stays. To learn more about becoming a member of The Trustees of Reservations, click here. You may also join The Trustees of Reservations directly with the Inn when you make your reservation or during your stay to receive the discount.

Farm Fresh & Local – Prices vary depending on workshop
Get an inside view (and taste) of Appleton Farms, our sister property in Ipswich and the oldest, continuously running farm in the country. Visit the farm for their popular Appleton Cooks program. This event will include a tour of the cheese kitchen and dairy barn as well as culinary demonstrations using farm products. You will learn new tips and techniques to capture the season's fresh flavors in your own kitchen and be given generous tastings of each seasonal dish as well as wine to compliment and printed recipes. Come back to the Inn and enjoy a glass of wine.

Into the Sea – $120
After you’ve spent time taking in the sun and sand at Crane Beach, try out your sea legs on one of two exciting ocean trips. Come back to the Inn and enjoy a bottle of wine of the veranda as you gaze out at the Atlantic.

Schooner Lannon
Picture yourself relaxing on the deck of this beautiful 65- foot schooner as she sails out of Gloucester harbor on a light southwesterly breeze. Let us book you on this two hour sail and get a taste for what it was like to sail on a fishing schooner a hundred years ago. Help the crew raise the sails, or just sit back and take in the sights and sounds of Gloucester's coastline.

Seven Seas Whale Watch
Sail out of Gloucester Harbor on the Privateer IV, Gloucester’s, newest and most comfortable whale watch boat. Witness some of the oceans most exquisite inhabitants and learn about these creatures from the expert naturalists on board. This 3-4 hour cruise guarantees whale siting’s and is situated in one of the most renowned whale watching destinations in the country.

A River Runs Through It – $140
Meander your way by kayak through winding salt marshes, around tidal islands and experience the pristine beauty of the Great Salt Marsh. This one-of-a-kind three hour  tour is by guided by Essex River Basin Adventures, the longest running sea kayaking company in Massachusetts. Return to the Inn for a bottle of wine on the porch to take in the view of the marshes and tidal rivers surrounding the Estate.

Art Foray – $80
Artist from around the world have flocked to Ipswich for our stunning ocean views, expansive salt marshes and untouched beauty. Stay with us and step inside their creations on an Art-Tour-Stay. Spend a day at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, viewing the over1.8 million works, many of them the first to be collected in this country. Or, for a more local flavor, get admission to the Cape Ann Museum in Gloucester and tour their impressive collection which includes the largest grouping of works by native son and renowned marine artist, Fitz Henry Lane. At the end of the day, relax by the fire with a bottle of wine and our own Appleton Farms cheese platter.
