Description: Urban gardens are sanctuaries of green among the hustle and bustle of city life. This year, thanks to TD Bank, and with the City of Boston, The Trustees is launching a new summer event series, Art & Design in the Gardens, focused on public art and community building at three Boston community gardens, Nightingale Community Garden in Dorchester, Chilcott & Granada Community Garden in Jamaica Plain, and the Fenway Victory Gardens. The program series will feature an art installation designed specifically for each garden, along with special events inviting interaction among the artwork, the artist, and members of the community. The placemaking installations will support programs like story-telling events, community conversations, community dinners, live performances, and interactive play. The gardens will host additional skill-building, wellness, and social events through October. We’re sure one these special gardens will become your new oasis.
