Crane Beach is open 8AM – sunset daily. The front gate stops admitting cars 20 minutes before sunset. We ask that all visitors exit the beach by sunset.

Admission fees are reduced after 4PM
Residents of the Town of Ipswich who have a current Ipswich beach sticker on their car are admitted free, year-round, daily.

Dog walking is permitted on Crane Beach from October 1 – March 31. The charge for non members to walk their dog is $3 per dog.

Horseback riding is permitted on Crane Beach October 1, 2016 – March 31, 2017.
The Crane Beach Horse Trailer Permit Program is a Trustees members only program. Please join or renew your membership before you apply for the trailer permit.
There are two ways to obtain your horse trailer sticker: 1. You can mail your application and payment to the address listed below and we will have your permit ready for pick up at the gate on your first visit or 2. You can purchase it in person on or after October 1, 2016.  Bring the completed form and payment to the gate and we will issue you your sticker.
