What is it? A year-round program designed for people who love food and farming. If you’re excited to expand your palate and your cooking repertoire, we offer hands-on, interactive classes and workshops and casual Farm Dinners – all centered around seasonal food fresh from our fields and other local farms. All are welcome and encouraged to roll up their sleeves and explore Powisset Farm from field to fork!
Cooking Classes & Workshops
Gather in our state-of-the-art farm kitchen to prepare seasonal recipes with our professional chef-instructors. Many of our classes begin with a stroll through the fields to collect fresh ingredients from the farm and end with plenty of samples or a full meal. Whether it’s a quick class or a longer workshop, you'll go home with new skills, tasty recipes to feed your friends and family, and a farm experience that will keep you coming back for more.
Want to do something farm-tastic for your next special occasion? Consider booking a private workshop! Your group will work with one of our professional chef instructors to create a full farm-fresh meal, which you will all enjoy together in the eat-in farm kitchen or outside on picnic tables.
Gain new cooking skills, eat terrific food, and bond with friends over a shared experience. What an amazing way to spend an evening!
Farm tours are a nice addition to your private class or dinner and are available upon request. Contact Nicole Nacamuli for pricing and available dates at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Friday Farm Dinners
Bring your family and friends for a fun and relaxing evening watching the fiery sky over the farm fields and munching on fresh-from-the-farm food. Dinner will feature a seasonal, family friendly menu with food grown or raised at Powisset and other local farms. A typical menu might include grass-fed burgers from Appleton Farms, seasonal fresh salads, and homemade ice cream. Enjoy a cold beverage from a local brewery while you play old-fashioned lawn games and listen to live music. Ticket price includes the full dinner buffet, non-alcoholic beverages (beer and wine will be available for purchase), dessert, games, music and all the fun you can handle! Dinners are held rain or shine from June through October.
