Moose Hill Farm CSA

Moose Hill Farm: Historic greeting card (farm)

Starting in the 1930s, Moose Hill Farm was home to a 60-head herd of Guernsey milk cows, prized for their milk’s high fat content. More than 170 acres of this scenic property was dedicated to growing hay and grain for the cattle. The farm remained an active dairy until 1960. Since then, the fields have been home to beef cattle, haying operations, and – most recently – protected habitat for many grassland bird species.

Last year, The Trustees of Reservations offered a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program  to folks who live or work in the surrounding towns. However, we're putting farming on hold here because of some concerns about soil erosion at the property. We'd like to thank all the people from the community who supported the farm last year!  If you have questions, please contact moosehillfarm@ttor.org. If you'd like to check out the other Trustees CSAs, please check them out here.
