2026-2027 OSV Permits (Private Vehicle):
Commercial OSV Permits:
Vehicles rented on peer to peer ride share platforms (i.e. Turo) and vehicles rented through rental houses require a Commercial Rental OSV Permit. These permits have sold out for the 2026-2027 season. Visitors who do have commercial permits must still acquire a day pass, found at the link below.

- The Wauwinet Gatehouse will open for the season on May 16, 2026 for OSV permit distribution.
- No dogs allowed (April 1 through September 15).
- OSV travel is at your own risk.
- Beach hours are 9AM-Sunset. Access Is contingent up protected nesting shorebirds and environmental conditions.
- No groups larger than 10 people without permission.
Seasonal OSV Permits
The purchase of an OSV seasonal permit also entitles you to a complimentary Family Trustees Membership.
Remember, your permit will be available for you to pick up starting May 16, 2026, when the Wauwinet Gatehouse opens for the season. Please bring your 4×4 registered vehicle and vehicle registration to the Gatehouse as the permit will be affixed at that time.
Rental Vehicle Day Pass
Please ensure that your rental vehicle has a Rental Over-Sand Vehicle (OSV) Permit ‘Year 27′, with a yellow background before purchasing this pass.
