Ina Drouin Named 2004 Employee of the Year (Feb 2005)

The Trustees of Reservations Names Ina Drouin 2004 Employee of the Year

Leominster, Mass.February 10, 2004 – At the annual all-staff meeting held at its Doyle Conservation Center in Leominster earlier this week, The Trustees of Reservations honored Danvers resident Ina Drouin as Employee of the Year. Drouin works as Director of Annual Leadership Giving in the development department of The Trustees of Reservations, the oldest state-wide conservation organization in the country.

“For successfully tackling a difficult job with grace and humor and for being the anchor for the development department when seas get rough, I am pleased to honor Ina Drouin as our 2004 Employee of the Year,” said Andrew Kendall, Executive Director of The Trustees of Reservations, at an award presentation with 140 staff from across the state in attendance. “Ina's clear, focused attention to her work is proven on a daily basis through her exemplary leadership and accomplishments.”

Drouin received a bachelor's degree in psychology and education from Mount Holyoke College in 1988. After a career in development at the VNA Care Network in Waltham, Drouin joined The Trustees of Reservations as Associate Director of Development in 1998. In this role, Drouin was instrumental in designing and inaugurating the Conservation Council, a group of members and donors in their 20s, 30s and early 40s.

As Director of Annual Leadership Giving, Drouin oversees a staff of four and is responsible for gifts of $1,000 or more for annual operating support. She works with donors through two of The Trustees' giving societies: The 1891 Society, named for the year the organization was founded, and the Charles Eliot Society, named for the organization's founder. She also staffs the development committee of the Board of Directors.
