Great House Tours at Castle Hill, The Crane Estate, Ipswich MA A national treasure, this magnificent mansion offers an opulent glimpse of the Crane family’s life in the roaring 20’s. Tours feature beautifully appointed rooms with ornate woodcarvings, luxurious Italian marble, sterling silver fixtures, and more. Wednesdays – Saturdays, May 28 – October 13 \| 10am – 1pm (one-hour tour) Closed Friday, July 4. Members: free. Nonmembers: Adult $10, Child $5. Minimum age: 8 years old (16 without adult). Historic Landscape Tours of Castle Hill, The Crane Estate, Ipswich MA Take a guided historic walking tour of this grand, early 20th century summer estate by the sea and learn about the designs of Boston landscape architects Olmsted Bros. and Arthur Shurcliff. Thursdays and Saturdays, May 29 – October 11 \| 10am. Tour lasts 90 minutes. Bring comfortable footwear and water bottle. Members: Free. Nonmembers: $5. Minimum age: 8 years old (16 without adult). Great House Teas, The Crane Estate, Ipswich MA Wednesdays, August 27, September 24 \| 2:30 – 5PM Our popular Teas return this summer to Castle Hill. Enjoy a tour of the Great House, relax over a sumptuous tea, then stroll the grounds for an enchanting afternoon. Price, including tea and tour, ranges $30 – $40, depending on membership status and seating arrangements. Please pre-register.

July 7 – August 18 SummerQuest (seven, one-week sessions) Castle Hill on the Crane Estate, Ipswich 978.921.1944 x8815 Get your kids (ages 9 – 12) out and active this summer, exploring the fantastic Crane Estate. Each week long SummerQuest session is designed around a theme that will get your kids out hiking, kayaking, swimming, drawing, and more as they create their own treasure hunts. October 1 – 5 Crane Beach Green Dogs Registration Crane Beach, Ipswich 978.921.1944 x1893 Coming this fall, Crane Beach announces a new Green Dogs Program beginning October 1, 2008. Friday is our members-only preview night, where you can enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and music as you browse and purchase original works of art, including paintings, sculptures, and photographs. Artist prints are also available. On Saturday and Sunday, the public are invited to view and purchase these amazing creations. Friday night members-only event: $40 (advance ticket purchase required).
