Responsibilities

Weir River Farm, a property of The Trustees of Reservations, is one of the last remaining farms in a historically agricultural town. The Trustees are working to expand the farm to provide goods for the community in the form of eggs, flowers, and grass-fed meat products.  A volunteer is needed to set up an educational booth at the Hingham Farmers market. The volunteer must be willing to engage the public and be able to articulate the mission of The Trustees of Reservations as well as garner support for future expansion in agricultural goods for the community. The volunteer must also be willing to sell eggs, flowers, and take orders for meat products to be picked up at the farm.


Required Skills & Abilities

Willingness to work with others, and a good sense of humor. Ability to handle and carry awkward items.  An interest in environmental issues and agriculture.  A passion for local food issues is helpful but not necessary. 


Time Commitment Needed

Every Saturday, June to September. Flexible as to weekly commitment. Time: 10AM – 2:30PM
