CRANE ESTATE HOLDS WEEKEND ART SHOW AND SALE
Local Artists Capture the Natural Beauty of Trustees of Reservations North Shore Properties
Castle Hill, Ipswich, MA - The Trustees of Reservations will present a special Fall Crane Estate Art Show and Sale entitled: "Capturing Special Places: The Art of The Trustees" at Castle Hill in Ipswich on November 9-11. More than one hundred juried works of art inspired by Trustees properties throughout Essex County will be on view throughout the weekend. The same preserved landscapes that moved the likes of Hopper, Homer, and Fitz Henry Lane are captured again in local artists’ interpretations through various mediums of sculpture, photography, and painting. Artwork of various mediums and price ranges will be for sale and proceeds will benefit the artists and The Trustees of Reservations.
The Crane Estate’s weekend of art begins on Friday, November 9, with an Artist Reception & Art Sale. Join us for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and music to preview the art, meet the artists, and enjoy the evening at the Great House on Castle Hill from 7PM - 10PM. Members: $40.

The Art Show will continue through the weekend on November 10 and 11, from 10AM – 4PM, featuring the unparalleled beauty and natural diversity of Trustees properties from Cape Ann to Andover. Directions: From Rt. 128 (Exit 20A) follow Rt. 1A north for 8 mi. to Ipswich. Turn right onto Rt. 133 east and follow for 1.5 mi. Turn left onto Northgate Rd. and follow for 0.5 mi. Turn right onto Argilla Rd. and follow for 2 miles to entrance to The Crane Estate.
