| The Invasive Plant Scout/Controller plays a key role in helping us curb the harmful spread of invasive species at Bear Swamp. You’ll walk the property during the growing season to search for and record invasive plant outbreaks. You’ll also work with a group to assist in controlling invasive weeds—including Japanese barberry, multiflora rose, smooth buckthorn, and bittersweet nightshade—at Bear Swamp. Hand pulling or hand cutting techniques will be used in the control process. |
