Significant infestations of garlic mustard, black swallow-wort, purple loose strife, and woody invasives, such as glossy buckthorn and multiflora rose, on many of our properties. Join a crew of other volunteers to remove known invasive populations and monitor trails for new infestations. Woody invasive plants can be controlled almost anytime except winter. Herbaceous invasive plants should be removed before they set seed. Hand tools and/or hand pulling will be used to remove invasive plants. Opportunities may arise to map new invasive populations using GPS. |

| | Time Commitment Needed | Minimum of working one Saturday or Sunday per month (or as otherwise agreed upon). Additional availability is helpful. April through November. Control of herbaceous plants (e.g., garlic mustard) will require scheduling work in early spring before the plants set seed. Woody invasives can be removed during spring, summer and fall. |
