American Farmland Trust
A private, nonprofit organization founded in 1980 to protect the nation's farmland; they work to stop the loss of productive farmland and to promote farming practices that lead to a healthy environment.

Farmland Information Center
 The FIC provides information about farmland protection and stewardship through a partnerhsip between the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and the American Farmland Trust.

Community Involved In Sustaining Agriculture
CISA was founded in 1994 to help farming thrive in western Massachusetts. They accomplish this through working with farmers, consumers, educators and researchers to strengthen and promote local agriculture.

Community Supported Agriculture of North America
CSA reflects an innovative and resourceful strategy to connect local farmers with local consumers; develop a regional food supply and strong local economy; maintain a sense of community; encourage land stewardship; and honor the knowledge and experience of growers and producers working with small to medium farms.

Massachusetts Department of Food and Agriculture
The Massachusetts Department of Food and Agriculture's mission is to support, promote and enhance the long-term viability of Massachusetts agriculture with the aim of helping this state's agricultural businesses become as economically and environmentally sound as possible. This department oversees the Agricultural Preservation Restriction Program, the Farm Viability Program, and the Farmland Stewardship Program.

The Natural Resources Conservation Service
The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is a federal agency that works hand-in-hand with the people of Massachusetts to improve and protect their soil, water and other natural resources.

New England Organic Farming Association
NOFA is a non-profit organization of nearly 4,000 organic farmers, gardeners, and consumers working to promote healthy food, organic farming practices and a cleaner environment.

New England Small Farms Institute
A private non-profit organization supporting beginning farmers and sustainable small scale agriculture throughout New England.

National Sustainable Agriculture Information Service 
National Sustainable Agriculture Information Service is managed by the National Center for Appropriate Technology and funded through a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture's Rural Business-Cooperative Service. It provides information and other technical assistance to farmers, ranchers, Extension agents, educators, and others involved in sustainable agriculture in the United States.

The Ram's Horn Publication
The Ram's Horn is a monthly publication that provides information and analysis of the American food system, touching on agriculture, trade, government regulations, pollution, and other subjects.
