Deferred Gift Annuity
A deferred gift annuity is ideal for a younger donor who seeks a current tax deduction and wants to supplement future income, such as planning for retirement. The deferred gift annuity is a simple contract between you and The Trustees of Reservations.  In exchange for your irrevocable gift of cash or appreciated securities, The Trustees agrees to pay you a fixed payment, beginning at a future date.

Eligibility:

  • Minimum Gift: $10,000

  • Minimum Age: 50

Benefits:

  • The opportunity to make a significant gift to The Trustees;

  • Current income tax deduction in year of gift;

  • Portion of annuity payment is tax-free;

  • Capital gains for appreciated securities are spread over your lifetime;

  • Predictable, stable income in the future — guaranteed.
