Special Projects
As a statewide organization with more than 110 years in the field, The Trustees of Reservations is well positioned to take advantage of conservation and stewardship opportunities.  But in today's climate of escalating pressure from development, we are often faced with unprecedented challenges to fund major initiatives.  To meet these challenges, special projects are established to focus fundraising efforts and engage the local community.

Learn more about these special projects:

Appleton Farms:  The Oldest Working Farm in Massachusetts

Appleton Farms in Hamilton and Ipswich is one of the oldest continuously operating farms in the United States.  The farm preserves a bucolic, agricultural landscape that is rapidly disappearing.

Copicut Woods:  Gateway to the State's First Bioreserve

The new Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve represents a monumental achievement in land conservation, protecting 13,600 acres of unbroken forest in Fall River, Freetown, and Dartmouth.

Eastover Farm:  A Local Landmark in the Buzzard's Bay Watershed.

Spanning almost 800 acres in Rochester and Marion, Eastover Farm is a community icon, a treasure trove of local history, and a landscape of immense ecological value.
