The Barn on The Crane Estate Rates & Policies

The five-hour rental* period Friday and Saturday may begin after 11AM and must conclude by 10PM. The barn is not available Sunday – Thursday due to seasonal programs on the Estate; limited dates are available in June, September, and October. The Barn can accommodate up to 140 people for a truly unique New England celebration.

*When the ceremony takes place at The Tavern, the five-hour rental begins with the ceremony contracted time.

Your Rental Fee Includes the Following:
•  Exclusive use of The Barn on the Crane Estate
• (14) 60" round dining tables
• (140) white garden chairs for dining
• The Vegetable Garden located across from The Barn for photos
• Restroom facilities
• Free on-site parking for up to 60 cars
• Gate attendant to greet guests and direct them to the parking area
• Event Ranger for security
• Ceremony fee includes use of The Tavern and immediate lawn area two hours prior to the contracted start time. The Tavern features bathroom facilities for your guests and may also be used as changing rooms for the wedding party. White garden chairs are included for an outdoor ceremony on the lawn area, overlooking the salt marsh.
• Tenting is not permitted on The Tavern lawn or surrounding area of The Tavern.
• Additional rentals may be coordinated by our Exclusive Caterers. All rentals must be pre-approved by an Event Manager from The Crane Estate.

Please Note:
• Neither The Barn, The Tavern, nor The Vegetable Garden on The Crane Estate is available for rehearsals prior to the day of the rental.
• The Barn is not heated and may require heating at the user’s expense.
• Corporate or social events, please inquire with our Private Event Department regarding other options on the estate for your meeting or celebration. Please contact us at 978.356.4351 x8814.

Deposit Schedule
• First 50% of rental fee is due upon confirmation of date.
• Second 50% of rental fee is due in January of the event year or 6 months prior to the event date, whichever comes first.
• All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable to another date. In the event of cancellation, all deposits are retained by The Crane Estate, a property of The Trustees of Reservations.
• Any additional rental fees are due 30 days prior to the rental date.

Beverage Service
Please arrange bar and beverage service through our Exclusive Caterers. Alcoholic beverage service may not be permitted at The Tavern. All alcoholic beverage service may begin after the conclusion of the ceremony in The Barn.
