Exclusive Caterers

The following Exclusive Caterers have been selected to ensure that your day runs flawlessly. All of our hand-selected Caterers are full service and can assist you with every detail of your event from hors d’oeuvres to farm fresh meats, cheeses, and vegetables. They will provide you with linens, china, place settings, and glassware for the bar. Please contact them directly for pricing and menu options.

Beverage Service
Please arrange bar and alcoholic beverage service through an Exclusive Caterer. Food must be available during beverage service hours. Our full-service caterers welcome the opportunity to create the perfect menu for your celebration. Service may begin after the conclusion of the ceremony or upon guests arrival for receptions only.

Beverage Policy
*Appleton Farms makes every effort to ensure the comfort and safety of its clients and guests. Therefore, Appleton Farms strictly adheres to the laws of the Commonwealth regarding alcoholic beverage service. The following policies are enforced at Appleton Farms and by our Exclusive Caterers at all times that liquor is served, including events at which transportation is provided for clients and their guests.

• All persons requesting alcoholic beverages must present positive proof of age when asked by a bartender, service person, manager, or security officer.
• A valid driver’s license or picture ID with proof of age must be presented.
• Alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto the property. Alcohol must be served by Appleton Farms staff or designated Exclusive Caterer.
• Alcoholic beverages may be consumed in moderate amounts only. Excessive consumption of such beverages and/or intoxication is strictly prohibited.
• Two drink maximum per person per visit to the bar.
• Persons showing signs of intoxication or persons known to be drinking prior to their arrival at Appleton Farms will not be served alcohol.
• Bartenders, service personnel, and managers may refuse alcoholic beverage service to any guest.
• Parents or relatives may not purchase or provide alcoholic beverages for underage guests.
• Alcoholic beverage service at Appleton Farms is limited to a maximum of 4.5 hours and will be discontinued one-half hour prior to the scheduled event end.
• Non-alcoholic beverages will be served until the planned or extended end time of the rental.
• If the ceremony is held at Appleton Farms alcoholic beverage service begins after the ceremony concludes.
• Caterers are required to serve coffee until the end of the rental period.
• When alcoholic beverages are being served, food must be provided for guests at all times.
• Alcoholic beverage service may be discontinued at any time during the rental period at the discretion of the Event Manager, Caterer’s Representative, or Bartenders. Reasons for discontinuation may include the opinion that guests are consuming and/or providing liquor from a source other than the Exclusive Caterer, are over indulging, and/or in the possession of illegal substances.
• No remaining alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages may leave the premises including Special Orders.
• Alcohol may not be given as a guest party favor.
• All Event Managers, Appleton Farms / Crane Estate staff, and beverage service personnel have been trained to judge the sobriety of guests. Should the Event Manager ask for your assistance in determining the demeanor of a guest, please understand that he/she is concerned with the safety of all your guests. * Appleton Farms refers to all venues and outbuildings on Appleton Farms where private and social events are held: The Carriage Barn and The Stone-Walled Paddock.
