Appleton Farms
Celebrate at one of New England's most scenic pastoral landscapes.
Appleton Farms, a property of The Trustees of Reservations, is located on the Ipswich / Hamilton line on Route 1A at 219 County Road, Ipswich, MA 01938. Just 6 miles from The Crane Estate, with its 658 acres of rolling grassland, grazing livestock, stone walls, and historic farm buildings, Appleton Farms brings to life New England’s agricultural past – and is part of its vibrant future. The oldest continuously operating farm in the country, Appleton was established and cared for by nine generations of the Appleton family, and was donated to The Trustees by Colonel Francis R. Appleton, Jr., and his wife Joan.
This beautiful family farm makes the perfect setting for your event, accommodating up to 200 people under a tent in the historic Stone-Walled Paddock. For a more intimate gathering of up to 80 people, consider the historic Carriage Barn. Together, these two venues create an unforgettable setting for your celebration.
Additional information about Appleton Farms including the Dairy Barn, Trails, Grass Rides, and Educational Programs can be found at www.thetrustees.org.
