Boston & Sharon, MA – August 2014 – What is fall in New England without a visit to your local community farm or favorite leaf-peeping spot to celebrate the season’s bounty and beautiful weather? The Trustees of Reservations (The Trustees), have a handful fun farm events and seasonal celebrations planned at properties throughout the region to choose from. Events and activities include everything from live music, kids’ activities, and local foods to picnics, volunteer opportunities and guided hikes – all designed to get community members out and about, celebrating and supporting our local farms, community, and fall traditions. So get outside, soak in the colors, eat some local good food, and join the fun!

Get ready for some good old-fashioned fun down on America’s oldest working farm, located on 1,000 acres on Boston’s historic North Shore. This annual family-friendly event features local healthy foods, music by Ben Rudnick and Friends, barnyard animals, tractors and traditional farm crafts and activities. Chose from pumpkin painting, pony rides, a hay obstacle course and more. All ages welcome!

Join the partners of Beverly's historic Moraine Farm for a campus-wide, family-friendly festival. A day-long line up of free tours, live music, hay rides, cooperative games, a marionette puppet show, craft activities, home-made goodies and a Farmers Market offers something for everyone. Activities provided will showcase the non-profit partners that share and preserve this beautiful working landscape: Friends of the Olmsted Landscape, The Trustees of Reservations CSA Farm, the Waldorf School at Moraine Farm, Project Adventure, and Essex County Greenbelt. Bring a picnic, explore the grounds, and enjoy all that Moraine Farm has to offer.
